I have fould that the metalcare product "Neverdull" works well as a minor blemish and light rust remover/ polishing agent. Comes in a blue tin as a fluid soaked into cotton. Just tear of a small piece of the main mass and wipe lightly over unaffected areas, scrubbing harder on blemished or rusted areas. Once it dries, it leaves behind a fine white powder, which you can either wipe off with a soft cloth or rub with a microfiber cloth/ polishing dremmel head on low speed to achieve a near mirror polish
