Trying to find the value of an officially licensed Factory -X ,Sword of Maximus,

QUESTION: Hello, in 2000 right after the movie Gladiator came out, The Home Shopping Network was selling the Sword of Maximus. The replica came with a hardwood stand with a small plaque mounted on it showing the Universal Studio Dreamworks TM and having been made by Factory-X. The Universal Dreamworks TM was also stamped on the blade.I have seen many replicas out there, but none that comes with a stand or one that has a plaque on it. I contacted Factory-X, but apparently there was a changed of ownership and no one seem to know anything about it. I had heard that the original Factory-X sword had become a very collectiable item, but have been unable to find anything about its value. Can you give me any information or who might be able to help me find out about this sword. Thank you, John Payne

Quite a treasure you have there, in mint condition it could easily sell for several thousand dollars! Indeed, you can see one here for sale that goes for $3,800!!

Fatory x sword

I also have one of these swords of maximus and two tiger of gaul swords and the gladitor(arena) helmet all factory x items.
I was also wondering the value of this sword as I was told it was vey limited that is why I bought it back in 2001 direct from factory x.

Wow 3800.00 for just the sword this was a great buy!
Now add on the other two swords and the helm and this may have been a great investment.

I have an original Factory X marked Sword of Maximus in mint condition with the sheathe. It has been hanging on a wall, and has not been touched. Not sure, but may have the original box in new condition as well. Smoke free environment.

I am looking for help on the value of swords we have. It was handed down to us by the passing of a family member. I cant find a year on it anywhere and they are in one case...It has Japanese pictures on it..dragons and so on...The pictures are on each handle of each sword and on the case itself. All I have found on it is the words handcrafted in china on each blade..Is anyone familiar with this particular sword?

Hi, i have the normal one, wihout tablet:

The Sword of Maximus, commander of the Armies of the North,

Father of a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife

and faithful devotee of the true Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

I offer here the faithful reproduction from my collection to purchase at.

It was founded in 2000, produced for the movie Gladiator with Russel Crowe from the company Factory X.

I was on a long waiting list and after half a year I received a letter from the United States.

Since I had it removed from its packaging and hung with the strap on a nail.

It was used by me solely for decorative purposes and it was not played with it.

The slight traces originate only by demonstration purposes, when the sword was removed from the vagina and was presented.

The packaging was stored by me in my garage and has corresponding signs of use.

The blade is not sharp and is only a decorative replica, it is NOT SUITABLE TO PLAY.

All parts were packed by me back in their original packaging.
